September 2026 Trends We're Watching: Raw Material Costs

We're watching costs closely.
Oil and chemical markets have been turbulent this year, and since those markets directly affect what goes into our products, we want to keep you in the loop.
Oil prices spiked sharply earlier in 2026 due to Middle East supply disruptions, but have since pulled back to more moderate levels heading into summer. That easing is beginning to work through the chemical and polymer markets we buy from, and we're seeing early signs of some cost relief compared to earlier in the year, though prices currently still remain elevated as compared to historical norms.
That said, the situation overseas remains fluid. Most analysts expect any supply recovery to be gradual, so while the near-term direction looks more favorable, we're staying cautious. We're watching costs closely and will reach out directly if anything meaningful changes. You won't be caught off guard.
